About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 808 GameLabs handles information when you use Pup Path (the “App”), package identifier com.gamelabs808.dogpath.
Pup Path is published by Vidit Kumar, trading as 808 GameLabs, Haryana, India (“808 GameLabs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@808gamelabs.com.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to Pup Path and its in-app legal and support links. It does not govern an app store, advertisement, or third-party website that has its own privacy policy.
Pup Path has no 808 GameLabs account, login, cloud save, public chat, or social feed.
2. Information kept on your device
The following information is stored locally in the App’s private storage:
- game progress, completed levels, stars, best results, and daily streak;
- the current board and move history, so an interrupted game can resume;
- your optional player name, selected avatar, and selected frame;
- sound, music, haptics, language, and reminder choices;
- onboarding and consent status;
- hint, reward, and advertising frequency counters; and
- a cached copy of game configuration; and
- a randomly generated installation identifier used locally to assign a configuration experiment bucket. Our custom analytics may include the bucket number, not the raw local installation identifier.
The full saved board, optional player name and profile choices are stored locally; our custom analytics does not send those contents. Gameplay and technical events may be sent as described below. Deleting the App or clearing its storage normally deletes device-local records. Your operating system may back up or transfer app data according to your platform settings; we do not control those backups or promise to restore progress.
If you enable reminders, Android or iOS stores a local notification schedule. Pup Path does not use a notification server, Firebase Cloud Messaging, or remote push notifications.
3. Information processed when the App connects
Pup Path uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics for app analytics and diagnostics. Depending on your device, region, privacy choices and the feature used, the following information may be processed:
Gameplay and app analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase may receive events about opening, starting, finishing, restarting or resuming a game, the level involved, outcome, score, moves, duration, hints and rewards, ad requests or failures, sharing actions, offline status, time since first launch, experiment bucket, timestamps and a session identifier. Google may also process an app instance identifier and technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate region derived from an IP address, and event time.
We use this information to find crashes, understand whether levels are working as intended, and improve the App. We do not send your optional player name or the contents of your saved board as analytics properties.
Crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash stack traces, diagnostic logs, app version, device model, operating system details, available memory or storage, crash time, installation or session identifiers, and game context. We use this information to diagnose and fix failures. Crash reports may be collected automatically when the App starts. The App does not provide a separate crash-reporting switch. Your advertising choices do not switch crash reporting off.
Advertising
Google AdMob and its advertising partners may process an IP address, device and app information, advertising or app-scoped identifiers where available, consent signals, and interactions with an advertisement. These services use the information to deliver ads, limit repetition, prevent fraud, measure performance, and, where you have allowed it, personalize ads.
Pup Path uses interstitial ads between suitable game moments and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for an offered in-game benefit. It does not use banner ads or app-open ads.
Non-personalized and limited ads can still require technical information such as an IP address for delivery, security, frequency control, and aggregate reporting.
Website and support requests
If you open our Privacy Policy, Terms, or support pages in a browser, the website host receives the information normally sent with a web request. If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send.
Sharing a puzzle
When you choose to share, the App generates an image of the original unsolved puzzle and opens the system share sheet. The image may include the level, result duration, hints, daily streak and a store link. You choose the destination and whether to send it. Our custom analytics may record a sharing action but not your chosen recipient. The sharing plugin or operating system may create temporary image files or its own sharing history. A receiving app or recipient handles the content under its own rules; we cannot erase their copies.
4. Information we do not ask for
The App does not ask for your legal name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, precise location, health information, or payment-card details.
The optional player name is a local label. Do not use sensitive personal information in it.
5. Consent and your choices
- EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other supported regions: Pup Path uses Google’s consent flow where required. If a privacy-options entry is available in Settings, you can reopen it and change or withdraw your choice.
- Analytics: storage and advertising-related consent signals default to denied. The App grants them only where Google’s consent SDK reports consent is not required. Where consent is required, answering an advertising message does not, by itself, grant these Analytics storage and advertising-related permissions. SDK event calls may still result in limited consent-mode measurements; declining personalization is not a guarantee that no technical information is transmitted.
- iOS: Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt controls permission for tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. You can change it in iOS Settings.
- Android and iOS: you can reset or restrict the advertising identifier through device privacy settings.
- Reminders: you can decline the permission request, switch reminders off in Pup Path Settings, or change notification permission in device settings.
- Local data: you can erase it by clearing App storage or deleting the App.
- Rewarded ads: watching one is optional. Declining does not prevent ordinary play.
6. Why we process information
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- your consent for personalized advertising, tracking, and storage or access that requires consent;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing, debugging, measuring, and improving a free game, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- performance of our agreement with you when processing is needed to provide a feature you request; and
- compliance with legal obligations and the establishment or defence of legal claims.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information for money.
We disclose information only:
- to service providers that support the functions described above, principally Google for AdMob, consent management, Firebase Analytics, and Crashlytics, and providers that host our website or configuration;
- when you direct us to, such as by opening a third-party link;
- when required by law or a valid legal process; or
- to protect users, the public, 808 GameLabs, or the security and integrity of the App.
Google and advertising partners may act as independent controllers for some advertising purposes. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Google’s disclosures are available at https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Advertising disclosures may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under some privacy laws even when no money is paid for the data; available opt-out and consent controls are described above.
8. Retention
- Local game and settings data remains until it is overwritten, you clear App data, or you delete the App.
- Firebase Crashlytics generally keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before removal begins, according to Google’s published Firebase information.
- Analytics and advertising information is retained under our configured settings and the applicable Google policies.
- Support email is retained while needed to respond, follow up and resolve a request, and where necessary for security, a legal obligation or a continuing dispute. Retention depends on the purpose of the correspondence, the status of the request, and any applicable record-keeping requirements.
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Google describes its processing and contractual protections in its privacy and service terms. International processing remains subject to applicable data-protection requirements. You can contact us about the handling of your information and the safeguards applicable to your region.
10. Children
Pup Path is not offered to children under 13. The welcome screen requests a 13-or-older declaration; it does not verify age or parental authorization. Please follow the age requirements in this Policy and the Terms, as well as the parental controls available on your device. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information.
You must be at least 13 to accept the in-app welcome notice. If the law where you live requires authorization from a parent or guardian at an older age, you may use the App only with that authorization. In India, this includes users treated as children under applicable data-protection law.
If you believe a child’s information has been processed contrary to this section, contact support@808gamelabs.com. Because the App has no account, please include enough technical detail for us and our providers to identify the relevant record where possible.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising disclosures; nominate another person where applicable; and complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a request, email support@808gamelabs.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify the request and ask for an app instance, advertising, or installation identifier because Pup Path has no account and cannot locate records by your name alone. We request only the verification reasonably needed to protect your information and respond to your request. Please do not send government identification or sensitive documents unless specifically needed and requested. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Where applicable law permits, an authorized agent may submit a request with evidence of authorization. If we decline a request, we will explain the reason and any available way to appeal or complain to a regulator. Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete diagnostic or advertising records held by providers, operating-system backups, or copies shared with other people; contact us for help with records that can be identified.
California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of a “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are defined by California law. Personalized advertising disclosures can be treated as sharing even when no money changes hands.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Network traffic to supported services uses encrypted connections, and local data is stored in the App’s private storage area. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when Pup Path, our providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above. If a change materially affects how information is used, the App will present an updated notice or request acceptance where appropriate.
